Textured and Hierarchically Constructed Polymer Micro- and Nanoparticles

چکیده
Microfluidic techniques allow for the tailored construction of specific microparticles, which are becoming increasingly interesting and relevant. Here, using a microfluidic hole-plate-device thermal-initiated free radical polymerization, submicrometer polymer particles with highly textured surface were synthesized. Two types monomers applied: (1) methylmethacrylate (MMA) combined crosslinkers (2) divinylbenzene (DVB). Surface texture morphology can be influenced by series parameters such as monomer–crosslinker–solvent composition, surfactants, additives. Generally, most structured surfaces simultaneously uniform obtained in DVB–toluene–nonionic-tensides system. In second approach, poly-MMA (PMMA) used to build aggregates bigger particles. For this purpose, tripropyleneglycolediacrylate (TPGDA) synthesized co-flow arrangement polymerized light- irradiation. Then, PMMA assembled at their surface. third step, these composites dispersed an aqueous acrylamide–methylenebisacrylamide solution, again was run through co-flow-device photopolymerized. As such, entities consisting three different size ranges—typically 0.7/30/600 µm—were obtained. The both approaches potentially suitable loading or incorporation analytic probes catalysts dyes metals.

Hierarchically constructed metal foam/polymer composite for high thermal conductivity
Most polymeric tribological components are inherently insulative, resulting in susceptibility to failure from frictional heating at the PV limit, which is typically reported as a product of the heat flux terms pressure (P) and sliding speed (V). This letter reports on the design of a tribological composite for increased thermal conductivity and PV limit. The control sample is an unfilled compos...
متن کاملForm and texture in hierarchically constructed patterns.
Perceived organization of hierarchically constructed patterns was investigated through similarity judgments and a verbal description task. The number of elements and their sizes relative to the configuration were varied in a series of five experiments. The results show that in patterns composed of a few relatively large elements, the elements are perceived as individual parts of the overall for...

the present study reports an analysis of response articles in four different disciplines in the social sciences, i.e., linguistics, english for specific purposes (esp), accounting, and psychology. the study has three phases: micro analysis, macro analysis, and e-mail interview. the results of the micro analysis indicate that a three-level linguistic pattern is used by the writers in order to cr...

Commercially available woven fabrics (e.g., nylon- or PET-based fabrics) possess inherently re-entrant textures in the form of cylindrical yarns and fibers. We analyze the liquid repellency of woven and nanotextured oleophobic fabrics using a nested model with n levels of hierarchy that is constructed from modular units of cylindrical and spherical building blocks. At each level of hierarchy, t...
